Charlotte's Story

"What a journey it has been so far 😱🙌

I have wasted years of my life trying to be something I could never reach. I always wanted to be the smallest person in the room, I never ate enough, exercised infrequently and often as a punishment. I was miserable, unhealthy, and never had any energy. I let my mental health take a battering all for the sake of being 'thin'. My goals were unrealistic and unsustainable, and the reason I'd fail time after time. After having my daughter I lost just over 5 stone, but as the weight loss slower, so did my motivation and eventually I ended up gaining over a stone back.

In July 2021 I decided something needed to change, so I made the decision to join SWC fitness. Honestly my best and only piece of advice that I would give anyone is to find a coach like Shane. I can't thank him enough.

Being taught healthy, sustainable fitness has changed every part of my life. Being reminded daily that life is about balance, you should never have to see food as a sin, and never feel guilty for eating. All these quick fix diets won't work - I've tried and failed so many times. For me the biggest lesson he's taught me is consistency, you have to trust the process, trust him and trust yourself. Everything is possible if you put your mind to it. I'm the healthiest and happiest I've ever been, I'm stronger than ever, and each week I continue to improve. My goals and mindset have completely changed, I want to be the best version of me I can be, keep striving to achieve things I never thought possible. Not only do I feel better and have so much more energy, I've also now lost just under 7 stone. I no longer see exercise as a punishment but a joy, something that I look forward to.

Seeing the progress I've made and the changes that have happened are my biggest motivation. My only goals now are to stay consistent, stay happy and never let myself go back to the place I was in. I know with the support for SWC, anything is possible. #Iamevolving"
